About Us
Ulimbwende Links is a community-based organisation dedicated to linking vulnerable children with the education they deserve. We believe that every child has the right to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
Our work focuses on children who face the greatest barriers to education, including those living in poverty, children with disabilities, and those who have been left behind by traditional systems. We do not just provide resources. We build bridges between children, families, schools, and communities.
Our Vision
A world where every vulnerable child has equal access to quality education and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Our Mission
To empower vulnerable children by providing access to education and creating inclusive learning environments. We improve educational outcomes for underserved children through innovative programmes that foster learning, personal development, and community engagement.
Our goal is to support children in overcoming barriers to education, equipping them with the skills and opportunities needed for a brighter future. Through our initiatives, we strive to ensure that all children, regardless of their background, have the chance to thrive academically and socially.
What We Do
We work directly with vulnerable children to remove the obstacles that keep them out of school or limit their learning. Our programmes include:
- School enrollment support
Helping children enter and stay in school. - Learning materials
Providing books, supplies, and learning aids - Inclusive education.
Creating classroom environments where all children can participate. - Teacher support
Training educators to work effectively with diverse learners. - Family engagement
Working with parents and guardians to support their children's education.
Our Approach
We believe that sustainable change happens when we work together. Our approach is built on four principles:
- Child-centered
Every decision starts with what is best for the child. - Community-driven
We work alongside families, teachers, and local leaders. - Youth-led
Young people design, lead, and implement our projects. - Inclusive
We reach children who are often forgotten, including neurodivergent learners and those with disabilities.
We would love to connect.
Whether you want to support our work, enroll a child, or partner with us, we are here.
